Scarborough UTC is a new business backed school which opened in September 2016.

In a new building as part of a major investment in the town, the UTC will be a beacon of excellence that offers a combined academic and technical curriculum. Sponsored by the University of Hull, Unison, McCain, GCHQ and key employers. We provide a unique learning for the brightest and most determined students to lay foundations in Engineering, Design, Electronics and Control Systems and Manufacturing in North Yorkshire.

Engineering is our core element in preparing motivated learners and effective engineers and computer scientists for Higher Education and Apprenticeships.

We are a growing school (14-19 admitting up to 150 students in Year 10 and Year 12 each year) and we moved into our brand new building in September 2016. Being the coastal hub for engineering and physics and working closely in partnership with our coastal secondary schools and fellow University Technical Colleges across England we are ambitious, innovative and dedicated to the young people of Scarborough and surrounding coastal areas.

Ofsted visited us in February 2019 and the report is an honest view of the progress and improvements we have made over the last two terms. These are exciting times for us as we position ourselves as the 14-18 provision of choice across Scarborough and the East Riding.

Our Opportunity

We are looking to appoint a professional and confident Attendance, Admissions and Marketing Coordinator to manage the college admissions process using Admissions+ software, be first point of contact for the recording and administration of student attendance and support with marketing activity.

Candidates must have appropriate experience working in a similar environment, knowledge of attendance or admissions would be desirable.
