Teacher’s Thoughts
The EAL qualification is mainly delivered through practical tasks then written/theory work used to embed understanding and achieve tasks set. The students start off using MIG?MAG welding, sheet metal fabrication with both hand and industrial machine tools, along with technical drawing principles. The group sizes, the practical content and the delivery creates a real buzz in the workshop and it is amazing to see pupils developing and mastering skills.
Entry Requirement: Four GCSE 9 to 4 including Maths and English (3 would be considered as resits are available)
